Our Upcoming Travel Plans

Our Upcoming Travel Plans

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening, wherever you happen to be reading from! It has been a while since I have posted one of these, so let’s check out what travel plans we have for 2026, and early plans for 2027.

2026 Travel Plans

So we have recently visited Toronto during our February time off, we were there for 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We can see ourselves returning there time and time again, for sure. As for the rest of the year, in two weeks time we are spending a few days in the New Forest where we will explore the little quaint villages and nature itself. At the end of June into early July we will be meeting up with our American friends in Italy. In 2023 we flew over to Kansas City to spend two weeks with them, this time we are meeting in a neutral place near Pisa and Lucca. We plan on spending 5-6 days there in a cottage in the rolling hills of Tuscany. Finally at the tail end of August we are off to Anglesey in Wales, this is a family holiday. Every two years my parents treat me and my brother (and our significant others) to a family staycation. So far we have visited Yorkshire and Pembrokeshire, and this time it’s North Wales.

2027 Travel Plans

As for 2027, not a lot has been spoken about. This is usually the time that we will start getting rough ideas on what we want to do, however I have the looming responsibility of getting a new car soon, which will eat a chunk of my savings, so if we are going to do 2 or 3 holidays next year, we will need to be budget savvy with them. It’s my parents’ 60th birthdays next year so I would like to go away somewhere to celebrate with them, so early doors it’s looking like Edinburgh…somewhere they want to go, and somewhere we want to go back. Apart from that nothing else is set in stone, I am still hoping to get to the French Riviera at some point, much to my husbands dismay. He on the other hand wishes for a trip to Disneyland Paris for the first time. Maybe a deal can be struck?

What’s the Current Plan of the Website?

You may of seen more food content as of late. We are a food and travel blog/website, whatever term you want to use. Recently I have decided to create a page dedicated to city guides, and in these guides is where you’ll find a list of places I would recommend you visit, as well as attractions, recommended hotels and more. I have a rather large backlog of food reviews, so if they are going to be in these guides, I have to crack through them at a ridiculous rate, before more get chucked onto the back burner.

Ideally, on these city guide pages I would then have a link to my Etsy account where a full guide can be purchased for around £7, or around £12 for a custom guide. I am starting to try and monetise the website, and create a small bit of income on the side of my current job. I love travelling and food, and I would absolutely love to be able to make some sort of career out of it by pairing great places with even better food. So stick around on this journey of mine, and let’s see where it goes together.
