Roadhouse Revelations: A Dining Delight in Whitland

On our journey to Solva, we chose the Roadhouse restaurant in Whitland as our family rendezvous point, it’s a comfortable and spacious venue at the border of Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. Despite my less-than-stellar navigating skills landing us in a roundabout traffic jam for an hour, we finally arrived around 2:15 pm for lunch. The wait was worth it—Roadhouse’s warm hospitality and delectable cuisine left us absolutely delighted. *Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos as I was saving battery for navigating*

Our Review:
“The highlight of our visit to Roadhouse in Whitland was undoubtedly their breakfast, served until 3 PM daily. With two tempting options, I was spoiled for choice. The classic cooked breakfast offered a hearty selection: sausage, bacon, egg, hashbrowns, mushrooms, tomato, beans, toast, and fried bread. Alternatively, the breakfast sandwich, which I opted for, allowed for a customizable feast with single, double, or triple layers of breakfast delights like bacon, sausage, egg, mushroom, and cheese.

I chose a sausage and egg breakfast sandwich, and it was cooked to perfection. Instead of crisps, I paired it with chips, which were simply amazing and only got better as our holiday progressed. If you didn’t fancy having breakfast, then there are plenty of other options for you to choose, such as stone-baked pizzas, a triple burger (beef, southern fried chicken & piri piri grilled chicken burgers) and Glamorgan sausages. They even do a Sunday Roast for lunch, this includes; a choice of meat out of turkey, beef, Glamorgan sausage or half and half beef and turkey. Alongside these you’ll get Yorkshire pudding, chipolata sausage, cauliflower cheese, stuffing, a selection of vegetables and a jug of gravy to douse it all in, who wouldn’t say no to that!?

We had hoped to stop by again on our return journey, we decided to push ahead to avoid motorway traffic. Roadhouse is a fantastic venue, offering not just breakfast but also main meals throughout the day. It’s the perfect spot for a coffee and a catch-up or a satisfying meal at any time. Diolch yn fawr to the wonderful staff for making our visit so enjoyable!”
