What brings a tear of joy to your eye?

I…love…travelling. For my husband and I, we love a cruise ship holiday. No long queues at the airport terminal, no long flights, no transfers to your hotel. You get to the cruise terminal, and 15 minutes later, you are on board what is, a floating hotel. Everything you could possibly want is available to you. Most cruise ships these days have cinemas on board, casinos, plenty of bars, shopping complexes, gyms and so much more!

The added benefit of going on a cruise is that throughout your holiday, you’re probably going to visit more than one country. So if you like ticking off the countries you visit, it’s probably the best way to go about it. Earlier this year we did one to Northern Europe from Southampton, England and we visited Bremen in Germany, Amsterdam and Rotterdam in Netherlands and Bruges in Belgium. That’s 3 new countries I ticked off my list.

Oh, and the food onboard is glorious, and there are plenty of venues to eat at, from fancy dining restaurants, ice cream parlours, Indian curry houses, Italian restaurants, sushi bars and more. The amount of food on offer and the quality of it….well, it brings a tear to my eye.

Down below is a selection of photos from our time in Norway and on board the ship, where we travelled along the west coast of the country on a cruise visiting Stavanger, Olden, Alesund and Haugesund.

Feel free to give us a follow, not only do we post about food, but our holidays too. We have a trip to Edinburgh coming up in October, and next year we currently have 3 cruises booked. They are a trip to Northern Europe, visiting Hamburg, Rotterdam and Bruges. A trip to the Canary Islands, Spain and Portugal and a trip to the Western Mediterranean, visiting places like Ibiza and Gibraltar. Also give us a follow on social media! 🙂
