One of my previous jobs was a team leader role in a supermarket, so the easy answer would be to say “yes, I am a leader.” But there’s another instance where my leadership skills shine, and that’s whenever my husband and I go on holiday. He leaves all the planning to me because he wants to relax and enjoy the trip. For me, planning the holiday is part of the excitement! Whether it’s choosing the perfect hotel, figuring out our travel arrangements, scouting out the best food spots, or planning our must-see attractions, I dive into it all with enthusiasm.
Take our upcoming trip to Edinburgh in October, for example. I’m already mapping out our itinerary, and I’ve even booked a restaurant for our first evening at a quirky venue called “The Boozy Cow.” The thrill of organizing every detail makes the anticipation even sweeter.
Another way I lead is when we’re actually on the move. Whether we’re walking through bustling streets or driving through scenic routes, I’m always at the front, navigating with Google Maps. So, you know, follow the leader! It’s a role I relish, ensuring our adventures are smooth and memorable.
