What a perfect writing prompt for our site, here at The Taste Trekker, we love our food! We’ve visited many countries over the last few years and tried the cuisine at these locations, such as America, Norway, France, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Wales and Germany.
Out of the countries that we have visited above, America was my personal favourite. We visited Kansas City to catch up with some friends back in 2023 (seems ages ago now!). I have always adored American cuisine, with the likes of Chicken and Waffles, Biscuits and Gravy, and slow-cooked BBQ. We had plenty of all of the above whilst we were there, down below are just a few of our favourite places in KC.
If I choose my favourite cuisine as a whole, it would have to be a tie between Indian and Italian. Indian cuisine has a whole array of spices and flavours, whilst Italian has a huge choice of pasta dishes, as well as pizzas! But….if I had to choose my “last ever meal”, it would be the following.
Starter:
Breaded Halloumi with a Sweet Chilli Dipping Sauce
Main:
Trio of Carvery Meats; Turkey, Pork and Beef. Served with Roast Potato, Sweet Potato, Parsnips, Sprouts, Peas, Roast Onion, Roast Carrots, Yorkshire Pudding, Stuffing, Pigs in Blankets, and Sausagemeat with Lashings of Gravy.
Dessert:
Warm Chocolate Fudge Cake, with Vanilla Ice Cream.
