What is your favorite hobby or pastime?

Eating chocolate. I love chocolate. As a kid going to the corner shop at the bottom of the high street and picking up a Cadbury’s Freddo bar for 10p…nostalgia. Of course, you’d be lucky to get one of them for 10p nowadays. But my love for chocolate has always been visible. My Nan was a huge chocoholic, and clearly, it got passed down the genes to me. Whether it’s a bar of chocolate, cake, cookie, ice cream or some kind of dessert. If it’s chocolate, I’m having it.

Today we visited Bath, a historic city in Somerset. Why the visit? My mum had shared a video on Instagram of a place in Bath selling takeaway chocolate mousse, and we just had to try it out. The place? Neuhaus, inventor of the Belgian Praline. We were served by a lovely lady who told us how the chocolate mousse had blown up the last week after this viral Instagram post. Their chocolate mousse is really popular in both Belgium and Germany, and the company had decided to try it in their UK stores. Well, after trying it, I can safely say, it was absolutely delicious. I went for the dark chocolate mousse, and my husband went for the milk chocolate mousse, both were incredible. The price was £7, and to be completely honest with you, it’s worth the money, two big scoops of mousse topped with a topping of your choice.

The lady behind the counter even let us try one of their signature chocolates, a salted caramel-filled chocolate, once again, it tasted incredible and reminded me of our recent visit to Bruges, the capital of Belgium Chocolate. That wasn’t the only chocolate treat we had today, we then visited Mrs Potts Chocolate House, a company that has shops in Bath, Bristol and Cardiff, where I picked up a stuffed double cookie sandwich. Once again, pure chocolatey bliss. Neuhaus will be added to our reviews shortly, so stay tuned for that.
