A Magical Escape to The New Forest
Daily writing prompt
What books do you want to read?

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening, wherever you happen to be reading this! So in one of our last posts we mentioned about our upcoming trip to The New Forest, located in the south of England. Well, we’re back, and we’re going to provide a quick summary of what we did, we will then go into detail regarding the places we ate in upcoming posts. So this is what we ended up doing:

  • Visited Hockeys Farm Shop to see their selection of animals as well as to stock up on snacks
  • Headed just down the road to The Potting Shed for lunch
  • Visited Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary for a walk
  • After that we visited Blackwater Woods for another walk
  • We had a little drive around The New Forest
  • Headed to our hotel based in Romsey
  • Visited some shops, such as Waterstones
  • Headed to dinner at The Old House at Home
  • Back to the hotel for rest
  • Following morning we had breakfast at Josie’s
  • We then drove around The “Wet” New Forest
  • Had a wet walk
  • Revisited Bolderwood to see if we could spot anymore deer
  • Headed to Lyndhurst to have a carvery at The Vibrant Tap
  • Resumed driving round The New Forest, as weather was too wet for walking
  • Spotted some deer, parked up and tried to get closer for photos
  • Our final stop was Burley Manor for coffee & hot chocolate

We ended up making the most of a final wet day in The New Forest by driving around and exploring what we could, alot of the wild animals must of been hiding away under sheltered areas, so we didn’t see many horses or donkeys that last day. Check out some of the images down below of our recent trip, and check out the gallery on the tabs above. Oh, regarding the daily writing prompt, I need to buy and read a book which shows routes and walks of The New Forest, because there wasn’t many displayed around The New Forest.
