Our Culinary Adventure at Josie’s in Romsey
Our third stop on our mini break in The New Forest took us to breakfast at Tiffany’s—just kidding, it was Josie’s! Nestled a few doors down from where we stayed, this café radiated cosy vibes with its lovely wooden floors and neutral colours. It’s a classic British breakfast spot with delightful international twists.
The Menu Marvels: Josie’s offers the beloved Full English alongside breakfast staples like Eggs on Toast, Tea & Coffee, and Eggs Benedict. But wait, there’s more! They also serve up American treats like Pancakes, Chicken & Waffles, Milkshakes, and Breakfast Burritos. We couldn’t resist ordering a latte, a Biscoff Milkshake, Scrambled Eggs on Toast, and Fried Chicken Pancakes.
Food Delight: 🍳🥞 The food was a feast for the senses. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked, and my husband was pleasantly surprised with some bonus bacon. My three-stack of Fried Chicken & Pancakes was generously drenched in maple syrup and topped with a perfectly runny yolk. It was a breakfast dream, even if the third pancake defeated me!
Presentation Perfection: 🎨🍴 The dishes looked as good as they tasted. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and inviting, while the Fried Chicken & Pancakes were a visual delight with their golden hue and syrupy sheen.
Service with a Smile: 😊👨🍳 We timed our arrival perfectly at 9:30 AM on a bustling Sunday. Within 15 minutes, the place was buzzing with life. The service was consistently friendly, from the menu delivery to taking our orders. The staff behind the counter seemed genuinely happy to be there, adding to the warm atmosphere.
Ambience and Atmosphere: 🌟🏡 Josie’s felt alive and welcoming, the heart of everyone’s day. Its cosy decor and lively energy made it a perfect breakfast spot.
Value for Money: 💸💯 We were thrilled with the portion sizes and prices. The Biscoff Milkshake, a steal at £4.50, came with extra—enough for a second serving! Exceptional value for money indeed.
If you’re in the area, Josie’s is a must-visit. We’re so impressed that we’ve awarded it our top honour… The Golden Trekky Award. Well done to the team at Josie’s!

The food tasted amazing and the food presented looked appetizing, this pairs with the charming decor, atmosphere and friendly staff making Josies a great place to eat. The value for money is worth it here with the Milkshakes being a focal point.
