Oh what a question, perfect for this blog. There is so many places that I could pick, so let’s run through some of them and the reasons as to why I would want to live there.
- Miami: As someone who lives in the UK, I am completely fascinated with America, and one place I really would love to visit, and live in, would be Miami. Am I a bronzed adonis who you would see using the outdoor gyms? No. Would you see me rollerskating down Quay West? No. So why would I want to move to the Sunshine State? One reason…Grand Theft Auto Vice City. My favourite game growing up, my music taste has come from that game (mostly 80’s stuff), my taste in old American cars stemmed from it. It just has an air of nostalgia to it.
- Edinburgh: This is a place that we have visited for a holiday, and have thought….hmmm, we could actually live here. We loved it, we loved the city centre, we loved the outer areas, we loved all the foodie hotspots, we loved the people. It’s a great place to live!
- Toronto: We are visiting Toronto in February, and the more I read about it, and the more planning I do for the holiday, the more I love it. I often see people say the phrase “You come to Toronto the first time for a holiday. You come to Toronto the second time to stay”. Showing just how easy it is to fall in love with the city.
- Nice: Somewhere I really want to go, but my husband keeps on putting it off, is the French Riviera, and I have chosen Nice as it’s the cheapest, and easiest to get to. Of course, in the fantasy realm of Daily Writing Prompts, I of course would choose Monaco over Nice, but the French Rivera one day, will get a visit from The Taste Trekker.
- The New Forest: Much like Edinburgh, this is another place that we have been to, and could see ourselves moving to. The only difference is that we have probably been to The New Forest around 10 times so far, and we could easily see ourselves moving their when we approach retirement. Where we can open the front door and be greeted with wild ponies, cattle, donkeys or pigs.
- Kansas City: The last place I could see us moving to is Kansas City, we fell in love with the city and everything about it in 2023, when we visited our friends who live there. We would jump on a plane in a heartbeat to go back to that city. The food was incredible, we loved the downtown areas, we loved the sports teams it had. Just beautiful!
