This is a great question, and for me, someone who was born in 1993, there has been a lot of great inventions that I use nearly every day. Let’s break it down into sections though.
This is a travel & food blog, so let’s start with things that have been invented in my lifetime to do with travel. Most importantly, and this is probably used by billions of people every day, Google Maps (other map apps are available), you then having accommodation sites such as Airbnb & Booking.com. Even the likes of EasyJet was invented after I was born.
When it comes to technology, this has probably been the larges sector to see a continued amount of inventions since 1993, you have the PlayStation & Xbox, two things I have used whilst growing up, all the way to adult life. You have smart TV’s, HD TV, 4k TV’s, streaming apps such as BBC iPlayer & Netflix. Smart homes and all the gadgets that link up to them. Even cleaning gadgets such as the Dyson Ball Hoover, then you have AI, online banking, Virtual Reality, electric cars & so much more.
Out of all of these, what would I say is the most important invention of them all. It would have to be AI. Now I know nowadays when people say the word AI, we think of ChatGPT, CoPilot, Grok etc, but AI is in everything. It’s what makes gadgets work, Smart TV’s have been around for decades, gaming consoles the same, they all use AI. (Shout out to Google Maps, because who really fancies planning a route somewhere having to use an atlas (a word I haven’t used in years!), and then having to either remember your way there, or bring someone along to direct you.))
