Firstly, don’t be alarmed, I have not devoured 640 pizzas and pints! It’s actually a restaurant in Weston, Missouri!

During our first few days staying with friends in Kansas City, they took us to one of their favourite neighbourhoods, Weston. This quaint town was pure picturesque, with grand houses and a ‘downtown’ area straight out of a country and western film. Old buildings lined the roads, awnings over shop windows, and enticing displays. It felt like ‘real’ America, a place where few Brits had likely tread before.

Our Review:

“640 Pizza and Pints: a place that reeks of a wild, wild west movie set. From the moment you step inside, the tantalizing scent of piping hot pizzas will have you salivating uncontrollably. Our party of six embarked on a journey to Weston, MO, lured by the promise of delicious treats. The menu did not disappoint, boasting a tantalizing array of options. The appetizers beckoned with enticing choices like wings, breadsticks, and pretzels, setting the stage for the main event – the pizzas. With options like Bacon Cheeseburger, Chicken Florentine, and Pineapple Express (yes, the pineapple debate rages on!), the pizza selection catered to every craving.

For the non-conformists, the build-your-own pizza option provided the ultimate freedom to choose from a plethora of toppings and sauces. But pizza isn’t the only star here; the menu also flaunted an array of salads, sandwiches, and the tempting Manicotti Pasta. And who could forget the crucial dip selection? At 640 Pizza and Pints, you’re spoilt for choice with options like Garlic Butter, Buffalo, Sweet Thai Chili, Ranch, Marinara, Teriyaki, and BBQ. Whether you’re a pizza purist or a culinary maverick, this place has something for everyone.”_

We innocently ordered what we thought would be ordinary cheese breadsticks and Alfredo breadsticks, but boy, were we in for a surprise! These irresistible breadsticks were a game-changer, exceeding all our expectations. The portions were so generous that we couldn’t help but wonder if we’d even have room for the pizza. The breadsticks left us utterly amazed, but then came the pizzas, and they blew our minds in the same way. Their unmistakable homemade essence shone through in their beautifully imperfect crusts, generous layers of tomato sauce, and heaps of cheese adorned with a tantalizing variety of toppings. I went for the Chicken Florentine, while my husband opted for the Chicken Alfredo, and let me tell you, these could easily qualify as the most phenomenal pizzas we’ve ever tasted.

Gourmet Gauge:
As with many US venues, the service at 640 Pizza and Pints is impeccable. The pizza prices are actually cheaper than in the UK, and the quality is much better. The food looks incredible, though the portion sizes might be too large for some to enjoy both appetizers and a main course. As for the taste, the pizza is perfect.
