The Keel & Cow on board both Iona & Arvia ships is a speciality dining restaurant. This means that there are additional charges for this meal. We love the food in this venue and have visited The Keel & Cow on Iona 3 times during our 4 visits on her. The menu is cooked freshly per order, so you can expect a slight wait for your meal, but this means there is plenty of time to catch up on what happened during your day.

The service is super friendly and attentive, as you can expect with any speciality dining venue on board a cruise ship. The menu had plenty of options to choose from, including their signature Slow Roasted Beef Shin Pie, Fish Finger Ciabatta Sandwich and The Prime Minister, touted as the biggest burger at sea…and trust us, it’s a whopper! They also have a handful of starters to choose from, a steak menu, cooked the way you like, as well as a handful of desserts.
Everything we had during our 3 visits tasted beautifully and was presented with care. Everything on the plate complements the rest of the meal; it really is a gem of a restaurant on board the two ships. Regarding prices, as this is a speciality dining restaurant, you can expect to pay around £6 for a main, £3.50 for a starter or main, and around £15 for a steak, which isn’t too bad when you get the quality that you get here.
If you’re on board one of the two ships, make sure you book a table at The Keel & Cow, sit down, have a glass of wine, order the biggest burger at sea and just relax.
Gourmet Gauge:
Keel & Cow offers top-quality food, presented with care. The service is slow, but this is due to cooking food to order, and the staff are attentive. The ambience is nice; it isn’t too busy and hectic, unlike some restaurants. For the price you pay, it is definitely worth trying out!
