The Horizon Buffet can be found near the top of the ship, the same level as the SkyDome and The Beach House. It is open at multiple times throughout the day, allowing you to have breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and late-night snacks. They offer a huge array of different cuisines and foods.
For breakfast, you can find your cooked breakfast items, pastries, fruits, and continental foods such as meats and cheeses. Then there are things like kippers, omelettes to order, etc and all of your breakfast drinks. For lunch, dinner and late-night snacks, you can expect anything and everything to be available to you. Pasta dishes, curries, meats and veg, pies, salad ingredients, desserts, and a whole lot more.
The downside to the buffet is that it can get very busy at peak times. It is also most popular with families as the food is more in line with what kids may like, whereas the MDRs can be a bit more posh. This makes it very difficult to grab the food you like in a chilled atmosphere, and it can be a bit chaotic. However, we find that this works well when you have an early excursion, or you want to get off the ship nice and early.
Gourmet Gauge:
The Horizon Buffet offers convenience and a great place to eat for families. The food is nice, and the presentation is as good as you make it! The ambience is busy, and can be very manic at peak times. Service is still friendly, and it does offer good value for money, being that it is included, and open through the majority of the day.
