Cold Weather Over Heat—Every Single Time
Daily writing prompt
How do you feel about cold weather?

I genuinely love cold weather—it’s my ideal climate for so many reasons. First and foremost, I can’t stand being too hot. There’s nothing worse than trying to explore a new place with the sun beating down and feeling like you’re melting with every step. Cold weather, on the other hand, feels refreshing and invigorating—it makes adventuring so much more comfortable.

My husband and I also gravitate towards cooler destinations for our holidays. We’ve travelled to places like Denmark and Norway, both known for their crisp, cool climates, and absolutely loved it. Plus, with my husband being a teacher, we’re limited to school holidays for our trips. That usually means travelling during February or October half term, which tends to be chillier—and conveniently, far more budget-friendly than the peak summer months. I still remember our trip to Denmark in February when it hovered around 0°C—it was cold, yes, but it made us feel so cosy whenever we stopped somewhere for food.
