Landeau Chocolate Lisbon

This year we have been lucky to go on 3 cruises, and on our first ever two week long cruise, we ventured around the Canary Islands, Portugal and Spain. One of the stops was Lisbon, and after doing some research, I noticed that there was a place claiming to sell “The World’s Best Chocolate Cake”…of course, we had to check it out.

Our Review:

“Landeau Chocolate is located in the city centre, around a 5-10 min walk from the main plaza. Their menu is small and sleak, their chocolate cake is their signature item, and the also do drinks, of course, if you’re having the best chocolate cake in the world, then of course you need to pair it with some hot chocolate!

The. Chocolate. Cake. Is. Sensational.

Some would say it was the best chocolate cake i’ve ever had. It was soft, it was smooth, it was decadent, it was heaven. The cake itself was sooooo soft it was almost like a mousse, but yet it wasn’t, it’s honestly hard to describe. It was also presented to look artful, with dustings of cocoa powder.

The café itself was very nice looking, with a Portuguese touch. Dark wooden tables and chairs, stonework walls and plants adorn the place. The stonework around the café almost makes you feel like you are underground. The service here was also delightful, especially as we were speaking a different language, and they were very happy to cater for us and recommend us what drinks would go well with the cake.

If you happen to be visiting Lisbon, YOU HAVE TO TRY Landeau Chocolate. It really is the best chocolate cake in the world (that we have tried).
