Nestled in the heart of Dublin, Cookieboy has been turning heads with its inventive twists on classic cookies. From gooey chocolate-stuffed creations to vegan-friendly delights, this spot promises a sweet adventure for both locals and travellers. We swung by to put their cookies—and the whole experience—to the test, scoring everything from taste to ambience on our Gourmet Gauge.

Review: We kicked off one lunch in Dublin with a quick stop at Bambino’s for a slice of pizza, but the real treat awaited just around the corner at Cookieboy—my husband’s paradise, as he’s a self-proclaimed cookie connoisseur. He went straight for the Triple Chocolate & Hazelnut, and the reaction said it all: “This is thee best cookie I’ve ever had—we absolutely need to come back!”. And he wasn’t exaggerating. The cookie was luxuriously soft and gooey, and watching him gently bend it in half to form two perfect, chocolate-studded halves was almost hypnotic.
The shop itself is just as charming as the cookies. There’s one counter for coffee and another, tucked just behind, showcasing eight mouth-watering cookie flavours, including vegan options. The staff were friendly, efficient, and genuinely helpful—making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. Prices were perfectly reasonable too, at around €4.50 per cookie.
Admittedly, I didn’t grab one on my first visit—I had my eye on It’s A Trap’s cinnamon swirl elsewhere—but I definitely regretted it. Thankfully, we went back, and this time I treated myself to a vegan Biscoff cookie. Let me tell you: it was bloody brilliant.
After two visits, one thing’s clear: Cookieboy is a must-visit for any Dublin dessert lover. With its incredible cookies, welcoming vibe, and stellar service, we’re thrilled to welcome Cookieboy to The Taste Trekker’s Hall of Fame. Trust us—you’ll want to leave room for dessert.
Gourmet Gauge: Cookieboy delights with perfectly gooey cookies, beautifully presented treats, a cosy and inviting shop, friendly, attentive service, and excellent value for the quality. You need to add this to your Dublin itinerary.

Firstly, I wouldn’t leave work, as I think working whilst winning would help with socialising, and keeping your feet grounded. I would pay off the mortgage of our house, as well as treat us to a few once in a lifetime holidays, such as an African safari, round the world cruise & an American road trip. I would probably give my family and in-laws some, and donate some to dog/animal related charities.
