If you’re searching for creative and indulgent donuts in Toronto, 6ix Donutz is a popular spot known for its bold flavours and eye-catching designs. Inspired by Toronto’s nickname “The 6ix”, this bakery has built a reputation for serving up loaded donuts that are as visually impressive as they are satisfying.
During our Toronto trip, we stopped by to see whether these highly rated donuts lived up to the hype.

Dining at 6ix Donutz:
While in Toronto, we made it our mission to try a range of donut styles — from classic ring donuts at Harry & Heels Californian Donuts to filled creations at Unholy Donuts.
At 6ix Donutz, it was all about mini donuts, offering something completely different from the others.
Atmosphere & Setting:
The shop itself had a strong North American dessert shop vibe — bright, bold and modern.
Think blue and pink walls matching the brand, a glowing neon sign as you walk in, and a welcoming layout that feels built for quick, fun dessert stops rather than long sit-down visits.
The staff member serving us was friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience.
What We Ordered:
At 6ix Donutz, there’s no fixed menu — instead, you build your own:
Step 1: Choose how many donuts you want
Step 2: Pick your glaze
Step 3: Add your toppings
Glaze options included:
- Vanilla
- Strawberry
- Nutella
- Dulce de leche
Toppings included:
- Sprinkles
- Froot Loops
- Cinnamon sugar
- Biscoff
- And more
I went for:
🍩 6 mini donuts with dulce de leche glaze + cinnamon sugar
(…although somehow I ended up with 8 instead of 6, which was a very welcome bonus!)
Service & Overall Experience
The donuts were served fresh and piping hot, which made a huge difference.
They were:
✔ Light
✔ Fluffy
✔ Perfectly coated in glaze
The dulce de leche + cinnamon sugar combo worked brilliantly — sweet, slightly caramelised and well balanced.
They also provide a cocktail stick to pick up the donuts, which is a nice touch unless you’re happy getting sticky fingers.
At $10 CAD (~£5.39) for 6 (or in our case… 8), it felt like good value for money, especially given the freshness and customisation.
Final Thoughts:
6ix Donutz delivers exactly what you want from a dessert stop — fresh, fun and customisable treats.
It’s a great addition to any Toronto food itinerary, especially if you want something a bit different from traditional donuts. And alongside other spots like Harry & Heels Californian Donuts and Unholy Donuts, it shows just how strong the donut scene is in the city.
Pros and Cons:
- Fresh, hot mini donuts made to order✅
- Fully customisable flavours and toppings✅
- More of a grab-and-go spot than a sit-down experience❌
