Toronto has no shortage of dessert spots, but every now and then you come across somewhere that instantly grabs your attention before you’ve even taken a bite. Unholy Donuts is exactly that kind of place.
Known for its creative flavours, eye-catching donuts, and unapologetically indulgent approach, this colourful spot has become a favourite among locals looking for something far beyond your standard glazed ring. Naturally, during our wander through the Church & Wellesley area, we couldn’t resist stopping in to see whether these donuts were truly heavenly… or living up to their unholy name.

Dining at Unholy Donuts:
You’ll find Unholy Donuts tucked away in Toronto’s Church & Wellesley district — and if you’re craving something sweet while exploring the area, this is a dangerous little stop to stumble across.
Their biggest selling point?
Filled donuts.
Now, for us Brits, filled doughnuts (spelt correctly, of course 😉) are pretty standard — but in Toronto, they felt much less common compared to the classic ring-style donuts we’d been seeing elsewhere across the city.
That instantly made this place stand out.
Atmosphere & Setting:
The shop itself was clean, colourful, and well presented, with a display counter packed full of tempting donut flavours.
Honestly, the only disappointment is that I didn’t take more photos of the display itself.
From the outside, you could almost walk straight past it if it wasn’t for the glowing neon sign pulling you in. Inside, it’s very much a grab-and-go style setup rather than somewhere to sit in, but that works perfectly for the location.
And the flavour selection? Properly indulgent.
Think:
- Oreo Fudge
- Key Lime Pie
- Black Forest
- Coffee Crisp
This is not the place for subtle desserts.
What We Ordered:
After already trying classic ring donuts at Harry and Heels and mini donuts at 6ix Donutz, it only felt right to complete the Toronto donut trilogy with a filled donut here.
So naturally, I went for:
🍩 Oreo Fudge
And honestly? It fully embraced the “Unholy” branding.
Sticky, chocolatey, rich, fudgy… and unapologetically over-the-top.
Was it sweet? Absolutely.
Possibly slightly too sweet.
But realistically, nobody comes to a place like this expecting restraint.
Service & Overall Experience
Service was quick, friendly, and welcoming — exactly what you want from a busy takeaway dessert spot.
Combined with the fun atmosphere and excellent location, it made for a really enjoyable little stop during our day exploring Toronto.
Final Thoughts:
Unholy Donuts knows exactly what it is — indulgent, fun, and completely over-the-top in the best possible way.
At around $4–4.50 per donut, the pricing felt fair considering both the size and richness of what you’re getting.
Would this be an everyday treat? Probably not.
But as a one-off dessert stop while exploring the city? Absolutely worth it.
And after trying multiple donut spots across Toronto, it was fun comparing the different styles each place specialised in — from ring donuts to mini donuts, all the way through to these rich, filled creations.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, this one’s definitely worth adding to your Toronto food list.
Pros and Cons:
- Huge range of creative flavours✅
- Rich, indulgent donuts✅
- Slightly out of the way❌
